Cheerful Coasters Crochet Pattern

Materials:

  • H-5.00 mm crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Cotton yarn (I used I love this cotton yarn from hobby lobby in mint, coral, curry and white). 


Stitches used:

  • Puff stitch- Yarn overinsert hook in ring, yarn over pull up a loop, repeat 2 more times. You should have 7 loops on hook, yarn over pull through all loops, ch 1.

  • Cluster stitch- Yarn over, insert hook in space, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, repeat 2 more times, you should have 4 loops on hook, yarn over, pull through all 4 loops, ch 1.

  • Double crochet- Yarn over, insert hook in space, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops, yarn over pull through 2 loops.


Pattern: 

Ch 6, slip stitch to first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: Work 6 Puff stitches into the ring, slip stitch to the top of the first Puff Stitch. (Stitch directions above).

Round 2: Work 2 Puff stitches into each space between the stitches from the previous round. (12 puff stitches total). Slip stitch to the top of the first Puff Stitch. (Stitch directions above).

Round 3: ch 2, work a cluster stitch in the big spaces from the previous round, ch 2. (12 cluster stitches total). Slip stitch to the top of the first cluster. (Stitch directions above).

Round 4: Ch 2, double crochet 3 times in the ch2 space from previous round, ch 1, repeat around. (12 sets of double crochets total). Slip stitch in the top of the first double crochet. Fasten off and weave in ends with the yarn needle.
